Managing pending invitations
The Pending Invitations section on the Settings page is visible only to Owners. It tracks invitations you've sent that haven't turned into members yet.
What the table shows
Four columns:
- Email — the invited email address.
- Role — the role the invitee will get when they accept.
- Status — one of:
- Pending — sent, not yet accepted or expired.
- Accepted — the invitee has accepted. Accepted invitations are filtered out of this table once the member shows up in the Members section, so you'll rarely see this status for long.
- Expired — the invitation is past its expiration date and the link no longer works.
- Revoked — an Owner clicked the Revoke icon before acceptance.
- Actions — Resend and Revoke icons.
Revoked and Accepted invitations are filtered out of the Pending Invitations table entirely, so you mostly see Pending and (rarely) Expired rows.
Resend
Click the circular-arrow icon to resend an invitation email. This is useful when:
- The invitee lost the original email.
- The email landed in spam and they never saw it.
- The invitation expired.
Resending issues a fresh email with a fresh link. The recipient always uses the most recent link; older ones stop working.
Revoke
Click the X icon to revoke an invitation. A confirmation prompt appears; click Revoke and the link becomes invalid. If the invitee hasn't clicked through yet and then tries to, they'll see an error.
Reasons to revoke:
- You sent to the wrong email address. Revoke and send a new one.
- The person you invited doesn't need access anymore.
- You accidentally invited someone with the wrong role. Revoke, then re-invite with the correct role.
Typical troubleshooting flow
"I invited someone a week ago and they still haven't joined."
- Open Settings and scroll to Pending Invitations.
- Find the row with their email. Check the Status column.
- If Pending: click Resend. Ask them to check spam.
- If Expired: click Resend. A fresh invitation goes out.
- If the row isn't there at all (neither in Pending Invitations nor in Members), the invitation may have been accidentally revoked, or was never sent. Send a new one.
